Certain Words Drawn is an anthology designed to capture the broad scope of Reynolds’ explorations, enthusiasms and engagements. The book interrogates Reynolds’ interdisciplinary practice that spans painting, installation, sculpture, site-specific public artworks, and the logics of drawing, mark-making and language. The book’s central project is Cloud, a centrepiece of the 2006 Sydney Biennale, where he was New Zealand’s representative. Nineteen essays and well over 8000 canvases are represented in this 480pp book.
